Founded on September 14, 1943, Casa do Povo de Ribeira do Neiva (CPRN) has its headquarters in Ribeira do Neiva, Vila Verde (Braga district) and provides social care services and social development.
Our mission
Located in a countryside region, CPRN plays an important role in the social development and wellbeing of the locals.
This institution is an equal opportunity provider, offering many services to respond to local needs, improving social inclusion. Our aim is to foster inclusive community participation by providing an environmentally friendly facility for locally based human services in order to increase opportunity for personal and collective growth in our community.
Overall, our mission is to contribute to the achievement of equitable and sustainable improvements in the physical, social, and economic well-being of individuals and groups, especially the socially or economically disadvantaged.
What we do?
We try to create conditions for the elderly to lead happier and healthier lives. We are committed to improve the quality of life
for many elderly who find that living in their own homes is no longer the best, and safest option for them. We provide a residential care home,
for those seniors who want to live at home but need a little assistance with their daily living tasks we also provide domiciliary care.
Some working parents wish for their children to be supervised during after-school hours, so we provide an after-school facility for children which includes many activities and summer camps.
At CPRN we believe social development means investing in people. It is about helping people so they can move forward on their path to self-sufficiency. That's why we carry out many social development projects.
